TWO doctors who are members of Bolton Rotary Club gave 340 people free health checks.
Dr Nath Mahndraker and Dr Anil Girgis took part in an initiative to promote The Rotary Club of Bolton and the Stroke Association.
The free checks, at Morrisons supermarket, in Chorley Old Road, were part of a scheme to emphasise the connection between high blood pressure and strokes.
Shoppers donated £233 during the checks. The money will be shared between the Coronary Care Appeal and the Stroke Association.
