THE William Hill Triples Cup final in aid of St Ann's Hospice, played at Little Lever Working Men's Club, was won by the Moss Rose, Kearsley (Brian Wright, Gary Cartmel and Graham Warburton) scores 180 121 114 100 (6) 99 95, beating The Canary Tavern, Little Lever (Les Fitton, Brian Ochwat and Mick Lloyd) scores 140 100 (7) 105 99 97 95 -- 2-1.
Quarter finals: Little Lever Cons Club beat Farmers Arms B; Canary Tavern beat Farmers Arms A; Stopes Tavern beat LLWMC A; Moss Rose beat LLWMC B. In the semi final Canary beat Conservative Club; Moss Rose beat Stopes Tavern A.
In the Bill Osborne Memorial High Score Cup Competition the following scored 100 C Parkinson, T Cook, J Watt, I Weir, V Offord, I Grime, D Parker, B Olive, I Openshaw, A Massey, A Berry, S Osborne, N Davenport, J Hardy, B McAllister; 133 Marie McKinney; 140 B Higson, B Scholes, Steve Whittaker, S Riley, J Cunliffe, A Matthews, M Lloyd, B Ochwat, B Wright, G Cartmel, J Warburton (2), D Savery (2), Stuart Whittaker (3), D Swindells (3), L Fitton (3), with the cup going to Graham Warburton, scoring 180.
The cups and trophies were presented by club treasurer Keith Cotterill, on behalf of William Hill manager Tracey Herod and Steve Osborn. It is hoped the match will raise well over £200.
