IN reply to Cllr Donald Grime (April 12).
So much time on my hands you say. For your information, the letter took 10 minutes to compose and was sent to the Bolton Evening News at the flick of a switch; the poetry was William Wordsworth, with a few alterations.
Most of the detail was gleaned from features and letters in this newspaper. So the council is to employ people, as you say, to educate them not to drop litter. I'll believe it when I see it. How much are they going to fine six-year-old Johnny for dropping his ice pop wrapper? Yet another silly, money wasting idea.
I spend more time in a week picking up litter in the areas I frequent than I did writing the letter in question. By the way councillor, what have you done with all the street sweepers? I'm not the only person misssing them .
