THE Royal British Legion is keen to encourage people of all ages to join its Remembrance Travel pilgrimages to north Germany.
Remembrance Travel offers everyone a chance to pay a sentimental or educational visit to war graves, memorials and battlefields around the globe, led by experienced and knowledgeable guides.
The North Germany pilgrimages, taking place from May 12 to 17, follow the route of the Allied advance through Belgium, Holland and Germany in 1944-5, including Soltau and Munster war cemeteries, the port of Hamburg, and the opportunity to explore the interior of one of the U-boats that attacked the Allies' Atlantic convoys.
This year the company is also running a special break to mark the 60th anniversary of the invasion of Sicily in Operation Husky. For more information contact 01622 716 729, 01622 716 182 or visitwww.britishlegion.org.uk
