A HELICOPTER is being brought in to catch criminals on North-west railways by filming trouble spots from the sky.
Network Rail and British Transport Police (BTP) say they have problems with children playing on lines and throwing stones at passing cars.
From today, the helicopter will target areas like Edge Hill in Merseyside, Barrow in Cumbria and the Blackpool North and South Lines.
The BTP hopes the Easter helicopter initiative will reduce railway crime.
