BUYING a hit Harry Potter video from a Bolton store was a real hoot for customers.
The mark the launch of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, managers at Woolworths sought the help of Molly, a Snowy Owl from the North West Owl Sanctuary.
Posing as Hedwig, a character from Harry Potter Books, Molly and pal Dotty, a Barn Owl, spent three hours on Saturday entertaining crowds.
"They were fantastic," said the Deansgate store manager Paul Box.
"It wasn't just children who were interested -- there were an awful lot of adults who came in too just to see the owl."
The new Harry Potter video is proving just as popular as the first film in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and Mr Box expected to have sold more than 1,000 copies over the weekend. With a new book from author JK Rowling due out in June, Harry Potter mania is set to continue throughout the summer.
And with Molly and friends proving such a hit on Saturday, Hedwig has already been booked for a return visit when the book goes on sale.
