A TRANSFORMED play area is the focus of a open day celebration on a Horwich estate.
Members of Brazley Residents' Association are throwing a party to mark the completion of work on the Ainsworth Avenue play area -- which now has safe surfaces and new equipment.
The mayors of Bolton and Horwich are set to attend the open day, on Monday, May 26, when there will be a bouncy castle, face painting and refreshments.
The play area was refurbished by Bolton Council last year, at a cost of £34,000 last year.
Work was completed in October but the association decided to put off its official re-opening until the better weather.
The event takes place from 1.30pm to 4pm.
