POLICE are searching for a man wanted for further questioning over the dressing room theft of Peter Kay's video camera and mobile phone at Bolton's Albert Halls.
A 29-year-old man arrested in connection with the theft failed to answer his bail by noon at Bolton Central Police Station in Le Mans Crescent yesterday.
He is also wanted for questioning in relation to three other theft offences. His details have been circulated to officers throughout the town.
The thief stole the video camera and mobile phone from Peter Kay's dressing room as he was 10 minutes into his act on the second night of his Bolton run of shows earlier this month.
The camera's memory card contained images filmed backstage at venues across the country, which Peter intended to use as material on a DVD of his live tour.
The Bolton Evening News printed CCTV images of a man seen inside the Albert Halls at the time the items went missing.
But no property has been recovered.
The man was arrested on suspicion of burglary on Saturday, April 5 -- four days after the theft -- and questioned at Astley Bridge Police Station. He was released without charge on police bail pending further investigations. He has not been named but is from The Haulgh.
