THIS is the 10th year of Race for Life and so far a total of £35 million has been raised.
More than 300,000 women will be taking part in races at 130 venues.
Women of all ages and fitness abilities are invited to share the experience and fun of the races.
Every pound raised in sponsorship goes directly to research. The race was first introduced in 1994 after the public was made aware that more than one in three people will be touched by cancer at some point in their lives.
Cancer Research UK is the world's largest independent organisation dedicated to cancer research.
Research is also being funded to provide support and information to cancer patients and their families.
The cost of entering the race is £7.50 for adults and £4.50 for girls under 18. A minimum sponsorship amount is not required but Cancer Research UK would be delighted if every woman who enters raises £50 and above. Callers can enter by ringing the Race for Life hotline on 08705 134 314 and will need their credit card or switch card details to pay their entry fee.
The hotline is open between 8.30 am and 8.30 pm.
You can also enter online at Race for Life online at www.raceforlife.org
Postal entries can be sent to Race for Life, PO Box 50, Crawley, RH10 9WA.
Entry forms are also available in Cancer Research UK shops, the Bolton Evening News office in Churchgate, Tesco stores, leisure centres, libraries and GP surgeries. Entries need to be in a week before the race.
