A 19th century £5 note from the Bank of England's Manchester branch has raised more than £11,000 at auction.
The rare "white fiver" was issued in 1858 and fetched £11,163 as part of an auction of antique currency.
London auctioneer Bonhams said that an example of a note from the Portsmouth branch, one of only six thought to be in existence, fetched £21,150.
