ENVIRONMENTAL experts are meeting in Warrington to discuss ways of saving a rare type of freshwater mussel.
Found in parts of Lancashire and Cumbria, the number of adult pearl mussels is dropping and experts say the species is at threat around the world.
Delegates from various agencies are to hold a special workshop at Warrington's Fir Grove Hotel to address the problem.
