THE good weather brought out a full field for the Jack Boyce Trophy at Turton.
Although there was only a very light breeze, some tight pin positions and slightly firm greens meant there were only a few players under the course standard scratch.
Nineteen handicapper Andrew Foy dropped only four shots on the easier outward nine but kept his round together with a very steady inward half with nothing worse than a bogey to finish well ahead of the field.
David Holt may have got very close but dropped five shots in the last three holes including an out of bounds at the last to finish third behind team member Tony Lomax.
Jack Boyce Trophy (Medal): 62: A Foy; 65: A Lomax; 66: D J Holt; 67: A D Pollitt, D T Bridge, S P Kay; 68: M Burtonwood, C Hulmes, H M Ainscough, A Wood; 69: E J Purnford, D W Hilton, E Henthorne; H Wallace, D J Fairclough.
