A DRUG user died after a fall which fractured his skull.
Granville Darren Baines, known as 'Darren', was a regular user of amphetamines and used to inject the class A drug, which he had done for over 10 years.
The 36-year-old of Edgmont Avenue, Bolton, also had epilepsy and asthma.
He was found by his flatmate, Helen Welsby, and Dave Harrison on October 21.
They had become worried when the colour drained from his face while he was asleep on a settee and they phoned for an ambulance.
The day before Mr Baines had been found on the floor by Ms Welsby but was conscious and had managed to get back on to the settee.
Despite police re-opening the case into his death after a letter from Mr Baines' brother Carl, they said there was no suspicious circumstances and the file was now closed.
Pathologist Niaomi Carter said Mr Baines had a fractured skull to the side of his head which was consistent with a fall.
Assistant Deputy Coroner Alan Walsh recorded a verdict of accidental death.
