SKATEBOARDERS in the region will soon have their own place to practice as a £63,000 skateboard park is being built.
Lancaster City Council has announced work will begin on the project later this month and it will be complete by the end of May.
Ideas for the park have been in the pipeline for a long time with local skateboarders helping with its design.
A festival will be held at the park in June which break dancers, bands and graffiti artists will take part.
