TRANSPORT Secretary Alistair Darling has held a series of meetings with the Civil Aviation Authority about troubled tour operator MyTravel.
The move comes after the Manchester-based package holiday company suffered its worst year ever and announced plans to cut nearly 2,000 jobs.
Mr Darling is understood to have last met the CAA, which regulates holiday firms and runs the ATOL scheme on April 9 to discuss the situation at the group, which was formerly known as Airtours.
