PUPILS from Canon Slade School got the red carpet treatment at a special prom night held at Rivington Barn.
Around 250 youngsters turned on the style by donning tuxedos and ball gowns for the event, organised by year 11 pupils to celebrate the end of their GCSE years.
The car park was crammed with chauffeur driven limousines as inside youngsters enjoyed the school band, Sci-Fi Dave, and Year 11 singer Jane Shakeshaft performed a set of pop hits.
An awards ceremony was also held to reward pupils for the efforts over the years as well as to name the event's best dressed boy and girl.
Canon Slade pupil Mark Holt, 15, said: "It was a really swanky affair and a great night out before we all get our heads down for our GCSE exams in May."
