AN elderly woman claims she injured herself after falling on a poorly maintained pavement.
Evelyn Quereshi said she broke her finger after she tripped on the path outside her home in Openshaw Place, Farnworth.
The 68-year-old claims a man from Bolton Council visited her and said the pavement was perfectly safe.
But she is still concerned about the path. She said: "I broke my little finger. Other residents have also tripped over this piece of pavement as well."
A council spokesman said: "We have already sent inspectors to the location following a request from the resident, but we will revisit the site to see if the situation has changed.
"We will consider the area for inclusion in future reconstruction programmes."
