SOME of Britain's leading soccer teams shopped in Bolton for their training shoes during the 1930s. Fosters, of Deane Road, turned out numerous pairs of spiked shoes for such teams as Bolton Wanderers, Lincoln City, Newcastle, Stoke and Liverpool.
