PREGNANT women who want to have their baby at home can get support and advice from a group in Horwich.
Health professionals at the Jones Street Clinic will be on hand to discuss options for women who prefer to give birth in familiar surroundings.
The sessions, which have been running for four months, have been hailed a success. Organiser Jill Harrison, who had her second child at home, said that she would recommend the experience.
She said: "It was wonderful. There are a number of women who have said it was the best experience of their lives.
"I didn't need any medication. I felt in control."
She added: "There are often questions over safety and pain relief which we can answer.
"We just need to get the word out to pregnant women that there is this support group for them."
The group meets on the last Thursday of every month at the Jones Street Clinic, and will get together next Thursday, April 24.
Women interested in learning about home birth can drop in at the clinic between 9.30am and 11am or call 01204 696341 for details.
