ALMOST 11,000 animals were found new homes in 2002 by the RSPCA's North-west branches, figures have revealed.
A spokesman for the charity said it is the equivalent of about 30 animals placed with new owners every day.
Hundreds of RSPCA staff and volunteers are preparing for a fund-raising week beginning April 28 to enable them to continue their work in the region.
