IN Section A Heaton CC A beat Little Lever XI by a single run, 129-128.
In Section B Apollo Ladies gained their first victory over Newtrend by 27 runs, 160-133. Apollo's 28 run advantage being the difference between the two teams.
Carl Chapman XI had a convincing innings win 96-92 over Adlington CC in Section D, but Heaton Ladies A and
Bradbury Ladies managed to get the better of Little Lever CC B by four runs 159-155. The Volunteer in the same Section E had an innings win over Adlington St Pauls 165-152.
Section F sees Crompton XI, HBOS Ladies and Knights XI all with four points after two games.
HEATON CC A produced the week's closest result when they pipped Little Lever XI by only one run in a breathtaking finish but elsewhere teams are now starting to flex their muscles.
SJSC lead the way in Section B with maximum points after two games and Apollo Ladies gained their first victory over Newtrend by 27 runs, 160-133.

Half the teams in Section G have maximum points and some interesting games seem likely when the stronger teams meet.
St Mark's Bakery top Section H with two victories, but Edge Hill Ladies went down in a close encounter 142-145.
Price's B have had two convincing wins in Section I, but Capital Ladies are level and still to play a home game.
Bolton Lads and Girls Club in Section J have recorded two wins, while Church Inners, Dave Shoes Keys and FG Electrics are in joint top position.
Freedom Ladies in Section K have scored 451 runs in two matches and appear to be the team to beat at this early stage. Section L indicates that the consistent Mytham Ladies will challenge for honours once more with two victories.
Bolton Castle top Section N with two comfortable wins, but new team Bradford Road Ladies were involved in a high scoring game yet lost to 25th Bolton Ladies 290-264 in Section O.
