CHORLEY residents are being encouraged to compost in a series of workshops throughout the county.
The free sessions can help with dilemmas such as how to make your own compost and why it is not rotting down.
Each workshop lasts around one-and-a-half-hours.

On Friday, April 25: 9.30am to 11am at the New Era Complex, Paradise Street, Accrington; 2pm to 3.30pm at the Rachel Kay Shuttleworth Building, 62-64 Yorkshire Street, Burnley. On Monday, April 28: 10am to 11.30am at Blackpool Zoo education department, Stanley Park, Blackpool. On Thursday, May 1: 2.30pm to 4pm at Trinity Community Partnership, Wesleyn Row, Parson Lane, Clitheroe; 7.30pm to 9pm at Friends Meeting House, Meeting House Lane, Lancaster. On Friday, May 2: 12.30pm to 2pm at Mill Hill Community Centre, Blackburn, New Chapel Street, Mill Hill, Blackburn. On Tuesday, May 6: 10am to 11.30am at The Wildlife Trust, Environmental Education Centre, Howick Cross Lane, Penwortham.
