I WAS born in Bolton, grew up there, went to Wolfenden Street School and the Bolton Municipal Secondary School in Great Moor Street.
I was baptised, confirmed and married in All Soul's Church in Astley Street -- which brings me to the reason for this letter.
On April 24, I and my husband will celebrate our Diamond Wedding, and I would dearly like to show my friends photographs of All Soul's Church, especially the imposing exterior.
I left Bolton in 1946 and would love to have some memories of my wedding in 1943 in Bolton, as all my friends -- or most of them are from South Wales.
I have returned to Bolton on a number of occasions and was impressed by the lovely town. I grew up with mills on every street corner, and was Dobson & Barlows an iron or steel mill?
As my husband and I are both 86 this year, Bolton is now just a little too far away!
My apologies if I am causing you any inconvenience.
