PAUL Lacey of Horwich seems more than a little confused. In his letter (April 16) Paul says he is responding to my letter of April 14, regarding CCTV use and owner-occupiers.
But my letter of April 14 was about the Royal Bolton Hospital!
My letter regarding the CCTV set up on Hall i'th' Wood appeared in the Bolton Evening News on April 8, and nowhere in that letter do I mention owner-occupiers.
There is confusion also about where I live. Paul seems to think I live on Hall i'th' Wood, when actually Ribchester Grove is in Breightmet, where we do not have Government funded CCTV.
Can I put the record straight, and point out that the letter to which Mr Lacey refers was in fact sent in by Mrs Gaynor Derbyshire (no relation) on April 12. The quote Paul attributes to me was made by Mrs Derbyshire in that letter.
Mr Lacey really should be much more careful with names and dates before writing letters to the Bolton Evening News.
