MR RICHARD J. Hudson of Kent Court is concerned that Christopher Garritt has been excluded from school because of -- as he describes his extreme hairstyle -- his impressive list of artists, philosophers and scientists, headed by the great Albert Enstein, that he gives as "freedom of expression" raises the question were these persons groomed and attired as such in their own school days.
Children go to school to learn. Part of this learning is to be taught the rules and regulations of society in a civilised culture. In all walks of life there has to be "codes of practice" and standards which create a balance and stability to a person's life.
In answer to the suggestion that human rights may have been violated and degrading treatment administered, I agree that basic human rights are essential, but also add that they have to be earned. "Maturity brings its own stamp of individuality".
As to the suggestion of the possibility of the involvement of human rights solicitors, I can only repeat another famous man -- Mr John McEnroe -- who said, "you cannot be serious?"
