SATURDAY: Wanderers come out on top in their must-win game with relegation rivals West Ham.

Jay-Jay Okocha collects the ball in his own half and races to the edge of the Hammers area, where he lets fly a dipping, curling shot that England goalkeeper David James can't reach.

The match finishes on an ugly note with Hammers defender Ian Pearce sent off for a foul on Pierre Yves Andre and a push that sends Gudni Begsson flying while there's further trouble in the tunnel involving West Ham captain Joe Cole with police threatening to report the matter top the FA.

Wanderers, however, have good news on the disciplinary front with Ivan Campo reaching ten points for the season but escaping a ban.

MONDAY

WANDERERS go to Ewood Park and come away with a hard-earned point from a goalless draw that delights Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce. West Ham, however, close the gap to four points when they beat Middlesbrough 1-0 but then are stunned when their manager Glenn Roeder collapses with chest pains and is taken to hospital.

TUESDAY

SAM Allardyce follows the lead of Sir Alex Ferguson by playing mind games with referee Andy D'Urso over today's clash with Arsenal. Allardyce says he is hoping for a fair deal from the big match referee following the injustices he claims have cost Wanderers priceless points this season.

WEDNESDAY

ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger gets into the act of piling on the pressure for the clash with Wanderers by telling his side they must take maximum points from their remaining games if they are win the race to overtake Manchester United and retain their title.

THURSDAY

WANDERERS unveil their new home kit for next season and the club has broken with tradition and decided on an all white strip. The last time that happened was back in season 1970. Club officials are quoted as saying that they believe it will be a best seller but early reaction from a section of fans is mixed.

FRIDAY

YOURI Djorkaeff is Le God to Wanderers fans but in France he is known as 'The Snake'. And that is not lost on the French contingent in the Arsenal squad, who played with the Reebok favourite in the French World Cup winning team in 1998. The nickname came about from the way Djorkaeffs weaves his way into danger zones before unleashing curling shorts on to the target.

Allardyce also warns his side not to rush into all-out attack in today's big match. Arsenal will expect it, he says, and their ability to produce deadly strikes on the counter is a major reason behind their success.
