BOLTON Cricket Club had a flying start to their first season in the Manchester Association Premier Division.
After winning promotion they had a baptism of fire against the reigning champions and cup winners Wythenshawe.
But they produced the goods with a brilliant 102 run victory on Wythenshawe's own ground.
Bolton's professional, Jason Swift, the former Little Lever and Kearsley player, hit 80 in the game, following his magnificent 135 in a pre-season clash with Bradshaw.
Paul Hindley was in superb form with the ball against Wythenshawe with 5-29.
