SAM Allardyce insists Saturday's tea time kick off at Southampton will not knock Wanderers out of their stride.

A 5.30pm start could either pile on the pressure or give them an advantage depending on the result of West Ham's home clash with Chelsea earlier in the day.

If the Hammers complete the double over their London rivals it will plunge Wanderers into the bottom three just half an hour before they kick off.

A draw or a victory for Champions League chasing Chelsea, however, would send the Whites into their game knowing that a win would secure Premiership survival.

Indeed, if West Ham lose, Wanderers will need only a draw at Southampton because of their superior goals difference.

With Fulham and Aston Villa - at home to Everton and Sunderland at 3pm on Saturday - and Leeds United - away at Arsenal on Sunday - also dragged back into the relegation mire after picking up just one point between them last weekend, the permutations are endless going into a gripping penultimate weekend on the Premiership calendar.

Leeds and Villa especially will be desperate to get something out of their games as they meet each other at Elland Road on the final day of the season. It is an intriguing situation for Wanderers who surely cannot believe they are still the second most likely of the five rivals to go down after losing just one of their last seven games.

But Allardyce is not worried about kicking off at such an awkward time, saying: "It is not a problem and we will prepare like we do for every game.

"We are used to playing games at different times and different days and we have always handled it well as I'm sure we will this time."
