TWO dogs which became tangled in a choke-chain had to be cut free by firefighters. The crew, from Eccles, were called to a house at Saddlescotes, Worsley, at 4am by the owner after she found one of the pets choking.
A fire brigade spokesman said: "One was a Bull Mastiff and the other was a German Shepherd type. One had got its leg caught in a choke-chain and was choking the other. They were big dogs but they were quite calm while we cut them free."
