Wanderers central defender Florent Laville is set to play his last match on Saturday in the vital relegation clash at Southampton.
Laville will miss the final game against Middlesbrough after the Football Association confirmed his suspension after his last minute sending off in the draw with Arsenal on Saturday.
Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce was hoping to get the second of his two yellow cards from the draw with Arsenal rescinded.
However referee Andy D'Urso made no mention of reversing that decision in his report.
Laville joined Bolton on loan from Lyon in the January transfer window and Allardyce has already expressed his wish to sign the player on a permanent basis saying the defender has been a "defensive rock" in his partnership with Gudni Bergsson
Meanwhile Wanderers have officially released former Turkish Under-21 international Akin Bulent, who could now be in line for a move to Besiktas.
The 23-year-old moved to the Reebok Stadium on a free transfer from Galatasaray last summer, but failed to force his way into the side.
Sources in Turkey suggest that Bulent could now be attracting the attention of domestic league leaders Besiktas. They are said to be ready to open talks with the midfielder.
