IT'S enough to make your hair curl.
But no one can be left in any doubt that Bolton Wanderers fans are proving to be a cut above the rest when it comes to supporting the team.
And it is obvious it has gone right to their heads.
Their support is due to one man and one man alone -- their latest cult hero Ivan Campo.
The Spanish defender's distinctive hairstyle is being copied on the terraces by the fans who are snapping up 'Campo Wigs' resembling the player's dark afro-style head of hair.
Hundreds went on sale at the Bolton Wanderers store two weeks ago.
And they have proved to be so popular that the shop sold out at the weekend and staff are now desperately trying to order a new supply.
The store's retail operations manager Alan Bell said he had been amazed by how quickly the fans have snapped up the wigs, which cost £6.99 each. He said: "The fans always want something different to show their support for the team and there is no doubt that Ivan's hair is very definitely different.
"We have always sold blue and white wigs for big games and I suppose the Campo afro wig is an extension of that.
"It has certainly caught on at the Reebok."
Among the last fans to buy one of the wigs after Saturday's battling 2-2 draw with Arsenal was 23-year-old Wanderers fan John North.
He said: "I think Campo's hairstyle is brilliant.
"You never mistake him from any other player.
"In fact you can see him from miles away."
He joked: "The wig is also handy for me because on a cold day it will keep my head warm. It might also make me more attractive to women by covering my bald patch."
