THE ROYAL Navy will be sailing into Liverpool to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Second World War's Battle of the Atlantic.
The battle is considered the longest-running campaign of the war, lasting five years and eight months.
The aircraft carrier HMS Invincible will be the flagship for the event, which runs until Sunday.
An invited audience will join the Mayor of Liverpool for a multi-media presentation in Bootle.
