Horwich RMI won through to the final of the Lancashire Amateur League first elevens cup after an epic battle against Rochdale St Clements.
They took the lead after 20 minutes through Darren Fitzsimmons but Rochdale quickly equalised.
Horwich scored again when Fitzsimmons latched on to a through ball and grabbed a second but midway through the second half a defensive mistake gifted Rochdale an equaliser.
In extra time Matt Harwood saw his shot come back off the post but three minutes into the second period sub Paul Fairclough scored the golden goal, chipping the keeper after a fine through ball from man of the match Craig O'Reilly.
Horwich will meet Gregorians in the final on May 13 at Leyland.
