FIVE Bolton Scouts have recived the highest scouting award for their work with the organisation and in the community.
Christopher Matthews, Steven Teehan and David Ormes from the 12th Bolton troop, along with Brian Leech and Peter Barlow from the 2nd Bolton all received the Chief Scout's Award Certificate.
They were presented with their awards by the County Commisioner, Ann McClean, at a special ceremony for scouts from across Greater Manchester in Bury.
Also present were the Mayor and Mayoress of Bury, Councillor and Mrs John Smith, who granted permission for the Scouts to use Bury Council's chamber for the evening.
The Scouts were recognised for their work within the uniformed organisation, including activities, challenges and projects as well as working as with Cubs and Beavers and the local community.
