SHIPS from all over the world were anchoring along Liverpool's waterfront today to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic.
The historic World War Two battle took place over five years and eight months between 1939 and 1945.
Many lives were lost in the fight between Allied and German forces in the Atlantic Ocean.
