JUSSI Jaaskelainen believes Wanderers are on the verge of something big.
The Reebok goalkeeper expects Whites to grow in status, both on and off the field, now they have earned the right to be in the Premiership for the third successive season.
Jaaskelainen sees the club's survival achievement as the spark to fire Wanderers up the league next season and develop the club behind the scenes.
He said: "The feeling we got from staying up was absolutely brilliant.
"It was a nervous time because we never thought it would go to the last game after we beat West Ham.
"It gives us something solid to build on for next season when we can do much better. We can go ahead and build the training ground and build all the things the gaffer wants.
"It will be important to keep the team together that has done so well in the second half of this season and add more quality players.
"We did not start too well but once the new players settled into the side and got used to the Premiership the team did very well.
"The late goals cost us but the longer the season went on the more we improved and the performances were great in the second half of the season.
"It leaves us all really looking forward to next season.
"It was a shame for West Ham but there had to be a winner and a loser and it is nice to be a winner."
