A TODDLER has been left heartbroken after a pet dog disappeared.
Ellie Isherwood, aged 20 months, has not slept at night since Meg the Staffordshire bull terrier escaped from home on Monday, December 22.
The four-year-old dog ran off from the Hare and Hounds pub in Bury Road, Bolton, when it was let into the back yard.
Darren Isherwood, who lives at the pub with daughter Ellie, was looking after the dog for his brother, who is on holiday.
He said: "It's not my dog and is my brother's pride and joy. He will be gutted if we don't have her back soon. Ellie has not slept at all since the dog went because she's used to it being around.
"We're still very worried about her. We've been to check at dog's homes but she's not there.
"It's a friendly dog and it will follow you around. We just want the dog back as soon as possible and would beg whoever has her to return it."
Meg is black with white front paws, white underneath her chin and white on the end of her tail. If anyone sees her, call Darren at the pub on 01204 521337 or 07739 427750.
