FIRE crews from across Bolton helped to fight a massive blaze at a Manchester recycling yard on Thursday night.
Firefighters from across Greater Manchester were called to the yard in Newton Heath at 2am after a pile of fridges was spotted on fire.
At the peak of the fire, ten crews, including one from Farnworth and one from Bolton North, were dealing with the blaze which gripped a 5,000 sq metre pile of stacked fridges.
Fire crews are expected to be at the scene for most of the day to make sure the fire is extinguished.
