DAMON Gough, better known these days as well-known singer-songwriter Badly Drawn Boy, is shown here as a young boy at Bolton Lads' Club, second from the right on the back row.
The picture, of St. Osmund's RC Primary School first team from the 1979/80 season, has been sent to be by Craig Maher, of Barnacre Avenue, Breightmet, who names all the boys as, back row, from left: Paul Gahn, Steven Murphy, Michael Essien, Graham Gahn, Damon Gough, Craig Maher. Front row, from left: Lee Mullen, Lee Taylor, Carl Chadwick, Anthony Goodwin, Brian Davies.
Mr Maher comments: "Damon was a tricky winger who at that time didn't display any indication of his musical talent." So there you are, a double dose of Damon in two issues of the paper!
