WHEN reader Les Duckworth was on the Internet recently, he came across a picture of the 5th Cadet Battalion of the Loyal Regiment (North Lancs) which appeared on my page some time ago.
He tells me that last month his mother died, and when he was sorting through all the family photos, he came across many from the early days of St Matthew's CLB and also the 5th Cadet Battalion.
"My late father was Lt Col H Duckworth, officer commanding the above Regiment based at the TA Drill Hall in Horwich," he writes. "He also set up many local brigades around Bolton.
If anyone is interested in the pictures, they can contact me if they want to look at them." Mr Duckworth's telephone number is 01204 696799 (e-mail: LeslieDuck@aol.com)
