THERE were ringing endorsements all round for Andy Todd as his faultless performance in defence helped Wanderers to a 0-0 draw with Leicester.
As the son of boss Colin it is an awkward sitaution, but Alan Thompson believes that Andy has made his mark through his own qualities.
"Andy stands out a mile," says Thompson. "He could play at one of the top clubs, I'd even put him above Stubbsy."
Todd is forming a strong partnership with Mark Fish that did well to keep out Ian Marshall and Steve Claridge.
Wanderers could have taken all three points when Nathan Blake expertly turned Matt Elliott and fired, only for Spencer Prior to block on the line.
Later Kasey Keller also made a reflex save from another Blake drive.

AN Andy Walker double inspired Bolton to a 4-1 mauling of Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The Tartan Tiger got Bruce Rioch's side back on terms after they had gone behind to a fifth minute Jeff Eckhardt goal.
In the 25th minute minute a cross from Alan Stubbs was slammed home by Walker.
Despite their attacking play, they had to wait until the second half to take the lead.
This time Walker took a Stubbs through ball on his chest before sweeping the ball past Jim Stannard without even breaking stride.
Stubbs extended the lead when he tapped in a third in the 61st minute, but the young midfielder was soon stretchered off in agony with an ankle injury.
David Lee, in his third loan appearance, later scored his first Wanderers goal.
ROY Greaves grabbed a dramatic last minute winner for Wanderers in their top of the table clash with Spurs.
With it being first against second in this Second Division clash, it was always going to be tight.
But the entertaining first 89 minutes could not have been more balanced with both sides having plenty of chances.
Tottenham even had the ball in the back of the net after a tremendous long range effort from Neil McNab, but the linesman ruled John Duncan to be offside.
Greaves had come close on a number of occasions, and should have scored after being played through by Willie Morgan.
In the dying seconds Greaves turned the ball past goalkeeper Daines and extended Bolton's lead to four points.
