BOLTON and Spurs were locked 2-2 at the end of a tremendous FA Cup third round tie at Burnden Park.
Spurs went ahead in the 38th minute when Glenn Hoddle clipped a cross from the right which was met by a John Duncan header at the far post.
Wanderers equalised in the 55th minute with a Roy Greaves penalty. Spurs defender Jim Holmes had handled a Neil Whatmore effort and referee Mr Nippard had no hesitation.
Spurs took the lead again in the 85th minute when Hoddle - at the heart of everything - picked up the ball at the right of the Bolton goal and turned to crash an unstoppable shot past keeper McDonagh.
But a minute later Wanderers were level again when Whatmore coolly lobbed over Daines to the delight of the 40,000 fans.

WANDERERS threw away a two-goal lead against FA Cup holders Liverpool.
There were forced smiles at the end - after all a 2-2 draw against the Reds is an achievement in itself - but it could have been so much better.
Wanderers were unbeaten in 15 games and at half-time were riding high on the back of goals from John McGinlay and Mark Seagraves.
McGinlay put the Whites ahead after eight minutes, when he latched on to a Scott Green pass and took the ball past Liverpool goalkeeper Mike Hooper.
Seagraves nodded home the second from a Mark Patterson corner.
But Liverpool got one back early in the second half when Mark Winstanley deflected home an own goal and Ian Rush levelled with eight minutes left when he beat Keith Branagan.

COLIN Todd's side were awful as they were defeated 1-0 by relegation rivals Barnsley in the third round of the FA Cup.
His suggestion that "we can now concentrate on the Premiership" was cold comfort.
Spirits are further damaged by the injury and suspension worries which accompanied the defeat.
With Gerry Taggart injured, Gudni Bergsson about to begin a two-match ban and Mark Fish about to embark on African Nations Cup duty, the last thing Todd needed was for Mike Whitlow to be stretchered off in the 34th minute.
Scott Sellars is now just one booking away from a suspension, while Alan Thompson will miss at least the next two games through picking up too many bookings.
Barnsley won the game in the 27th minute with a cheeky free kick which beat Gavin Ward.
