The caption for this photograph from our files records the success these two disco dancers had during a national championship in Sheffield in 1986.
Anne-Marie Halliday, aged 14, and her 12-year-old partner Claire Edwards beat 40 youngsters in the girls' under 16s disco doubles section. Both were members of the Leigh School of Dancing in Little Hulton.
Anne-Marie (left) went to St Joseph's RC School, Horwich and Claire was a pupil at Joseph Eastham High School, Little Hulton.
