NEARLY 60 per cent of managers in the North-west will spend less time at their desks this year -- and more time exercising.
Research by the Chartered Management Institute showed that 58 per cent of managers at firms across the North-west are worried about the health issues arising from spending too long at their desks.
Nationally, 23 per cent of managers believe that they will change jobs in the next year.
Londoners optimistic about the prospects of their company are also 39 per cent while in the North-west a massive 80 per cent believe that their company and job is safe and looking forward to increased prosperity in the next year.
Petra Cook, head of policy at the CMI said: "Managers are demonstrating that they recognise the need to switch off and look after themselves, especially if they are to realise their ambitions and boost their prospects. But career enhancement has a price, it must be coupled with an improved home life too."
