A FIRE has temporarily closed a despatch depot run by Bolton bakers Warburtons.
The bakery and distribution centre in Wednesbury in the West Midlands was damaged when fire broke out on Sunday.
The fire started outside and took hold of the three-year-old building, where staff were working. An evacuation took place and there were no injuries.
A team from the firm's Bolton head office is at the centre to assess the damage and a temporary depot is being set up to serve the local area.
The fire has not affected bread supplies in the North-west.
