PAMPERED pets can now even go to the vets in style.
For Bolton's first taxi service for pets has taken to the road.
Michael Roche has converted his expensive 4x4 car into a vehicle fit for even the biggest prima-donnas of the pet world -- complete with a cage.
Mr Roche, aged 38, from Deane, will takes pets to the vets, to a grooming parlour, or even to a pet owner's relatives when necessary. He will also collect the pet and return it home. The taxi fare depends on the time and distances involved.
Mr Roche said: "There's not much chat from the pets, but their owners certainly voice their thanks.
"I decided to set up the firm when I had trouble with my own dogs.
"I thought it would be a good idea if someone out there would do that job for me. So I set up a firm that does just that."
Mr Roche, who also operates a dog walking business, said he would take any pet "within reason".
He currently has just one taxi and is operating the business -- called the Pets to the Vets Taxi Service -- from home to keep his overheads down. To contact Mr Roche, call 07961 897579.
