BSF Over-35s League
ELTON Vale moved into second place at the top of Division One of the BSF Over-35s Football League after a victory at Colliers Rest.
Goals from Morris Thompson, Mick Connelly and Ian West saw Vale run out 3-1 winners.
Turton and Hare Athletic fought out an entertaining 2-2 draw. Burke and Locke scored for Turton to cancel out strikes from Sorrell and Williams for Hare.
Ian Foulkes scored a hat-trick as Breightmet United came from two down to beat league leaders Dobbie A in a thrilling Division One Cup quarter-final.
Goals from Donlan and Walters put Dobbies 2-0 up, before Foulkes struck to take Breightmet through to a semi-final against Hare Athletic next week.
Daten AFC moved into fourth spot in Division Two by beating the Bay Mare Strollers 2-1. Rob Soppelsa scored both goals for Daten.
The Fox & Stork missed the chance to go clear at the top after losing 2-0 at home to Ainsworth Fossils, who also missed a penalty.
In Division Three, the Lord Raglan moved into second place on goal difference after beating Dobbies C 2-1, but they needed a last-minute winner to do so.
Bottom Bulls Head stay top after a 2-2 draw with the Quadrant, and have a game in hand on their closest challengers.
Rumworth & Hulton drew 1-1 with Prince of Wales, a result which leaves both teams in mid-table. Tony Blackburn scored for Rumworth and John Barrow for the Prince of Wales.
