TWO days before Christmas I decided to go to the local gym to get fit.
I was looking forward to a stress-free hour or so. Hopes of relaxation turned to trauma. I carefully locked my personal belongings in the lockers provided by the sports centre, and wore the security key around my wrist. I returned later to find my wallet, which included credit cards and even my car keys, were stolen. My vehicle was also taken from the centre car park. I experienced feelings of disbelief.
There were CCTV cameras on the car park and in the sports centre, good surveillance and still my car was stolen! Luckily I did get my car back, but what I find appalling is the fact I had to pay £105 from vehicle recover to get my car back. It ought not to be me who should be punished and be forced to pay this.
Surely there should be changes in the law to stop the victim of crimes being incurred with a fine!
