I FIND it ever infuriating reading the letters page, that the residents, or should I say voters of the Bolton area,
continue to put up with the three monkeys attitude of the so called elected local members of government with regards to matters of health (fluoride in the water) and parking (constant increases, differing charges).
Also the matter of vast pay rises to certain people, causing massive increases in council tax.
We (the voters) should tell the elected members of our town to listen to the voters and put these matters to a local referendum, if that is too much trouble for our elected delegates then they must hold local meetings with their respective constituency members and get the feelings that way, and act on them as a democratic local body should do, if not then we the voters should get rid of these none listeners and elect people who will listen to the people who put them into local office to represent us.
I also believe that this kind of attitude should also apply to our major governing body in Parliament with reference to asylum-seekers NHS spending etc.
Let's give the Liberals a try.
