MEMBERS of Bolton Conservation Volunteers have a packed programme of activities lined up for the New Year.
On Wednesday and Thursday they will be at Doffcocker Lodge coppicing the causeway to make space for more reedbeds and then on January 14, 15, 21 and 22 they will be planting a hedgerow in Red Lane, Breightmet.
Rawlyn Road allotments get some help building raised growing areas on January 28 and 29.
Anyone who wants to join the volunteers can meet at 10am on Bolton Central Library steps each Wednesday or Thursday or ring 01204 361847 for more details.
